ACTION on Hearing Loss Scotland is offering people in Clackmannanshire with hearing loss the chance to improve their digital skills at monthly drop-ins.

The next session will take place in Forth Valley Sensory Centre in Falkirk on Monday, June 5. The following is scheduled for Monday, July 3. Both will run from 2pm-4pm.

The service called Online Today!, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, aims to train people with hearing loss on how to get the most from their tablets, smartphones and eReaders.

The drop-ins are a chance for people who have questions about their digital devices to be informed about technology which will meet their individual needs.

Online Today coordinator Michael Woodburn said: “Being able to access technology can help make everyone’s daily lives easier and more interesting, but if you've got sensory loss and don’t have the confidence or experience of new devices, knowing where to start isn't always easy.

“We look forward to supporting people with hearing loss in Clackmannanshire to find out how their digital devices work and enable them to set up an online presence and stay connected with friends and family.”
