Scott Brown celebrated his tenth anniversary at Celtic this week and it is fair to say there wouldn’t have been too many of us who saw that one coming.

He has grown into an outstanding Celtic captain and I think is fair to say that this time a year ago there were many observers who felt that he had probably seen his best days at Celtic.

However, he has really turned it around this season and I would tend to agree with Rodgers that he has been arguably the most influential midfielder in the country.

He has led by example in games, particularly in Europe, and he has – for the most part – shown a maturity and a quality that augers well going into next season. I do think it was important that he got the chance to get some down time over the last few weeks given that he will go against at Hampden with Scotland in June before returning for the qualifiers, but if his aim will simply to sustain the form of this season going into next.
