THREE councillors who stood in the old Neilston ward have been re-elected to East Renfrewshire Council to represent the village once again.
Conservative candidate Charlie Gilbert, Tony Buchanan of the SNP and Labour's Paul O'Kane have been announced as the new councillors for the newly-formed Newton Mearns North and Neilston ward.
The number of first preference votes each politician received were as follows:
Cllr Gilbert (Con) – 1,729
Cllr Buchanan (SNP) – 1,551
Cllr O'Kane (Lab) – 1,531
