QUEENSLAND outfit Nerang Eagles have become Celtic’s Australian feeder club.
The Hoops have deals with several teams around the world where they send coaches, with an understanding they will get first pick of the cream of these club’s talented kids.
And Gold Coast side Nerand Eagles have announced they’ve linked up with the Scottish champions.
Nerang Eagles coaching director Gary Scott said: “Tony Massie, Celtic’s soccer academy manager, came over to Australia where we had detailed conversations about how the partnership will work and what’s expected.
“This includes a Celtic coaching clinic where local players from any club on the Gold Coast can get expert mentorship and a week of coaching from top Celtic coaching staff.
“This is Celtic’s first tentative step into Australia.”
