AN INTERACTIVE play bus emphasising the importance of parent-child communication is heading to Barrhead.
The 'Play Talk Read' vehicle will stop by Neilston and other East Renfrewshire venues at the end of this month and the beginning of February.
Parents and carers will be invited to hop on board to find out how playing, talking and reading with children can give them the best start in life and benefit little ones’ development at an early age.
Inside, the bus will be kitted out with games, DVDs, interactive books, a baby massage area and resources to give visitors ideas of ways to engage with kids up to the age of three.
First, it will roll into Neilston on Saturday, January 31, stopping at the village’s library from 10am to 1pm and then 2pm to until 4pm.
The bus will visit Barrhead’s Auchenback Resource Centre the next day on February 1.
Parents and their children will be granted access to the bus during the same hours.
