A BARRHEAD company received a top award for its innovative business practices in 2002.
Theatre Digz collected a runners-up prize for 'Best Trading Website' at the University of Paisley’s eBusiness Centre Awards Ceremony.
The company’s website, which was about to go live, was aimed solely at touring professionals within the entertainment industry.
It listed special accommodation with the aim of making touring and working away from home easier for the whole entertainment community.
Paisley had seen over 60 companies utilise the unique service the eBusiness centre offered.
The centre, which was set up at the start of 2000, provided support and training for business of all sizes, equipping them with skills required to be a success.
The eBusiness Centre Award Ceremony saw two awards being presented: ‘Most Innovative Idea’ and ‘Best Trading Website’ with three short listed companies in each category.
All of the businesses considered for each of the award categories undertook the Centre’s Innovation Challenge.
