THE steering group behind Barrhead’s Business Improvement District (BID) has released further details of its Christmas lights switch-on.
'All About Barrhead' members are encouraging residents to attend the event on Saturday, December 3 to kick off the town’s festive season.
The BID’s lights switch-on will begin at 1pm with live entertainment, while a Christmas market and Santa’s Grotto will also open to guests outside Barrhead Foundry at this time.
Finishing with a firework finale at 5.30pm inside the Barrhead Health and Care Centre car park, organisers are urging those who live within the vicinity to ensure people in care, young children and pets are protected from any possible harm or distress.
The best and safest views of the display will be from the front of Asda and the Foundry.
