• A WOMAN was arrested following a disturbance at a Barrhead home.

Police were called out to an address in Crossmill Avenue at around 2.40pm on Monday, September 12 where the 37-year-old woman was subsequently charged with alleged minor public disorder offences.

The woman was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.

  • A CAR'S windscreen wipers were damaged in an apparent overnight act of vandalism in Neilston.

The incident is believed to have taken place some time between September 10 and 11 on Double Hedges Road. 

Police are now appealing for anyone who might have seen or heard anything to stop by Barrhead Police Station, call the non-emergency 101 number of contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.

  • A MAN was arrested for allegedly drinking alcohol on a Barrhead street.

The 22-year-old was said to have an open bottle in his hand in Aurs Drive at around 11.30pm on Thursday, September 15.

The man has since been reported to the procurator fiscal.

  • TWO people were arrested after a disturbance in a residential street in Barrhead.

A 17-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were charged with alleged minor public offences in Gertrude Place on Saturday, September 17.

Officers were called to the scene at around 3.20am where they came across a group of people in the street.

  • A CAR was broken into while parked in a Barrhead street.

Items were stolen from the vehicle in Bellfield Crescent.

Police believe the incident occurred some time during the night between September 14 and 15.

Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area at this time is asked to stop by Barrhead Police Station or call the non-emergency 101 number.

  • A YOB raced away from a Barrhead bookmakers after verbally abusing a member of staff.

The man, believed to be in his teens, shouted and swore at the employee who was locking up the William Hill shop on Main Street on Sunday, September 18.

The incident is said to have taken place at around 8.30pm.
