A MAN was seriously assaulted in Paisley on Saturday night.

The 26-year-old was suffered an arm injury after the disturbance at around 9.30pm on Espedair Street.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was released after treatment for an arm injury.

Detective Sergeant Ross MacDonald, at Paisley Police Office, said: “Police enquiries are continuing and officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and studying CCTV footage in an effort to gather more information on this attack and those involved.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area of Espedair Street around the time of the incident last night who witnessed the disturbance take place, or who has information that may assist our investigation to contact us.”
