JUST one week remains for businesses to apply to be in with a chance of winning a top gong at this year’s East Renfrewshire Business Awards.

Nominations will close on Wednesday for the event in the swanky Dalmeny Park Hotel on June 9.

East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce (ERCC) hosts the yearly event which sets out to recognise the year’s best performing businesses.

The awards are open to businesses of all sizes, in all sectors operating in East Renfrewshire.

However if businesses don’t get their nominations in by 5pm on May 4 then they will miss out entirely.

For this year two new categories have been introduced by ERCC – Food and Drink Award and Excellence in Innovation Award.

It is free to apply and companies can enter for as many of the eight categories as they wish.

The awards attract high profile industry support and this year is no different with CALA Homes (West) as principal sponsor.

The News has also confirmed that it will be a media sponsor.

For more information on the awards and the categories please visit the East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce website.

The ceremony will be hosted by TV personality Karen Dunbar.

All finalists will be featured in the media and the winners will be announced at the awards dinner at the Dalmeny Park Hotel on Thursday, June 9 hosted by Karen Dunbar.

Chamber president John F Hamilton said: “The awards are now in their fifth year and have become a highlight of the East Renfrewshire business calendar. We are thrilled that they are continuing to grow and highlight the success of our exciting companies. The success of East Renfrewshire’s economy depends on the hard work of our businesses and this is the opportunity to promote and celebrate that.”
