A MAN and woman have been seriously injured after they were attacked in Paisley on Sunday night.
The 42-year-old man and 41-year-old woman both required hospital treatment after an argument turned violent.
Police are treating the incident, which happened at around 8.30pm in the town's Broomlands Street, as a serious assault.
The two male suspects are described as white, both aged 25-29 and wearing a dark hooded tops.
Detective constable Laura Durnie, from Paisley CID, said: "We know that there was a verbal exchange prior to the assault.
"Given the time at which the incident took place, it is entirely possible that someone may have heard or witnessed a disturbance close to Broomlands Road on Sunday evening.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Paisley via the 101 number."
