FORMER Runrig frontman Donnie Munro is coming to Eastwood Park Theatre. The Scottish singer will bring his successful acoustic show to the stage next month. Since leaving Runrig, Munro has enjoyed considerable further success as a solo artist and writer.

Now with his latest show, he revisiting a wide range of material spanning both his Runrig career and his years with his own band.

This acoustic project has already been a major sell-out success in Denmark and now Munro is bringing the hit performance closer to home.

He will be joined on stage by guitarist Eric Cloughley, who has worked as engineer on a series of the singer's recent studio albums.

Munro said of his new acoustic show: "Coming at the material from an acoustic perspective has been really exciting.

"It just leads to a different way of looking at the songs - everything is much more exposed and leads to a more intimate and direct delivery and engagement with the audience." Tickets for the show, on Thursday 14 March, cost �17, concession �15. It starts at 7pm.
