I have been very busy this week, slaughtering Wookiees and choking the life out stormtroopers for fun (mainly) utilising the Dark Side of the force. No, I've not gone completely mad, but I have had a review copy of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the XBox 360 drop onto my desk. And while I can't tell you much until the embargo date without someone from LucasArts feeding me to a Sarlacc, there are a couple of things I think I can safely mention, as long as you don't tell anyone...{blogtrim}

Firstly, this game is ace. Everything about it is amazing. There's all the geeky nods you'd hope for, great voice acting, a plot which is more deserving of a cinema release than the travesty that is The Clone Wars, and it's just so much fun. I've racked up 16 hours' play in three days it's so addictive. This is the best Star Wars game since the first Knights of the Old Republic, and I know what I'll be playing between now and Fable 2 finally coming out.

The lead character, Starkiller, is played by sci fi legend (well he is to me as a Battlestar Galactica fan) Sam Witwer, with all the broody moral ambiguity you'd expect.

The Jedi are all very boy scoutish, but the Sith have the best powers and the sheer glee of throwing someone through a plate glass window with the power of the Force (and the beautiful graphics) is one of the most fun things you're going to do with your 360 this year.

Watch out for the full review next week, but in the meantime when Friday comes go get The Force Unleashed!

Well thank goodness - or the BB housemates at least. Bex is up for eviction. Huzzah. Now let's all vote for her. Please? Because if I have to hear Luke go 'Noooooooooooooo! Rebecca! Noooooooooooo!' once more I will put Blutack in my ears.
