Big Brother gets tough

Arguably the most hated housemate ever, Alexandra has been removed from the house after allegedly making intimidating comments about how she would exact revenge on the people who had nominated her.

The former lapdancer and self professed owner of great cars was hoiked from the house late last night, leaving Mario off the hook - very annoying indeed since it means we've got at least another week of the smug sanctimoniousness to look forward to.

While Alex had been given two formal warnings previously (so much for this year's BB's being 'Zero Tolerance'!) producers stepped in after housemates complained about what they perceived to be threats to their friends and family.

In scenes to be shown tonight, the 23-year-old accounts executive from Croydon is shown suggesting fellow contestants would face retribution from her "gangster friends" after they nominated her for eviction. "But like I say, I get to go out, see everyone's friends, I get to see their family," she says. During the exchange she apparently says 'pow, pow, pow' which producers and housemates alike believe referred to gunfire.

Expect to see the full gory story tonight.
